Do etched graphics and screen printing serve the same purpose?
No. Etching removes metal to form a recess. Paint fill colors that recess; screen printing adds an ink layer to the surface. Mark each layer on the artwork so the quote covers the intended construction.
What should I send for an accurate quote?
Send the finished size, thickness, hole layout, logo artwork, color reference and quantity. Add the mounting surface and any cleaning or outdoor exposure requirements.
Which adhesive should I choose?
Choose the exact tape for the mounting surface, plate rigidity, temperature and cleaning exposure. Smooth bare metal and textured powder coating may need different constructions. Review a bonded sample rather than choosing by the 3M brand alone.
Which information is needed before production?
Approve the drawing, artwork revision, material, finish, fixing, quantity and inspection requirements. For changing information, also approve the data file and packing sequence. Any required documents or tests should be agreed with the order.
