Frequently Asked Questions
Does brushing make aluminum suitable for a CO₂ laser?
Brushing alone does not establish laser compatibility. Bare, coated and anodized stocks respond differently; qualify the selected material and laser.
Can stock-sheet tolerances be used for small nameplates?
No. A sheet-cutting tolerance is not automatically a finished-part or hole-position tolerance. Put the required values on the part drawing.
How should I specify adhesive backing?
Specify the adhesive model, bonding surfaces and service environment. Approve a bonding trial where performance is critical.
