Is embossing the same as debossing?
Embossing raises the selected detail above the sheet surface. Debossing recesses it. Show the required profile in the drawing and confirm it on the tooling sample.
How is the raised height specified?
State the base-sheet thickness separately from the required relief. The achievable height depends on the alloy, artwork and forming tool, so it is confirmed through tooling review.
Can embossed details be combined with printed colors?
Yes. Specify the raised artwork and printed areas separately. Approve color and registration on the same physical sample before bulk production.
Is the forming tool included in the piece price?
Tooling is quoted for the design. Confirm the tool charge, ownership or reuse arrangements and any revision cost with the quotation.
